Teak Cabinet

This cabinet (featured in the 2010 publication
500 Cabinets)
was designed to solve a dual purpose need
in a client’s great room. On the living room side, the piece
functions as an end table between 2 couches. On the
dining room side, the piece functions as a cabinet for
table linen and formal silverware storage (doors and
drawers open to the dining room side).

All of the teak panels were book matched. Mortise and
tenon joinery is used throughout the piece. Drawers are
joined using hand-cut dovetails and precision knife hinges
ensure smooth door operation.
