This hall or vanity mirror consists of two nested rings intersected by a solid beam. Each ring is made from thin layers of wood that are sawn, then tapered and glued together again to produce a band that changes in thickness along its perimeter. The beam is also tapered - in thickness and in width. Together, the three shapes create an interesting and dynamic frame to house a 1/8" thick circular mirror.
